SCARNATTI™ Mattress Limited Warranty

At Scarnatti, we want you to be long-term satisfied with your Scarnatti® mattress. This limited warranty is part of our commitment to superior product durability and quality. We don't expect you to experience any defects, but if you do, they will be considered covered by the warranty.

Warranty Overview

This limited warranty covers all new Scarnatti® mattresses purchased from Scarnatti or authorized resellers. It does not apply to display models, demo products, or products purchased from unauthorized resellers.

This limited warranty is provided exclusively to you, the original purchaser, and is not transferable. If you are not the original purchaser of the mattress, you accept the product "AS IS," with all faults and without any warranty. By purchasing a Scarnatti® mattress, you agree to the terms and conditions of this limited warranty.

Based on Scarnatti's commitment to correct defects, such services may be performed by third parties authorized by Scarnatti (e.g., authorized resellers or authorized service centers). This warranty is expressly limited to the terms described herein.

How Long Does the Warranty Last?

This limited warranty applies to all new Scarnatti® mattresses for ten (10) years from the original date of purchase. The mattress cover is not part of the 10-year warranty and is discussed separately below.

Warranty Description

This limited warranty protects against defects caused by faulty workmanship or materials. During the warranty period, Scarnatti® will replace or repair your mattress at no additional charge, except in the cases specified below. For any valid limited warranty claim made after 101 days from the original date of purchase, the shipping costs associated with the repair or replacement of the Scarnatti® mattress are the buyer's responsibility.

Scarnatti reserves the exclusive right to repair or replace the mattress. If your mattress model is no longer available, your mattress may be replaced with an equivalent model.
While Scarnatti will do its best to match the feel of the mattress, warranty replacements may have a slightly different feel (e.g., firmness), a different color or material than the original purchase, and may not match the original design. Warranty replacements do not entitle you to a free trial period. Even if a discontinued mattress is replaced with an updated or newer mattress model, the warranty on any repaired or replaced mattress is valid from the original date of purchase; the warranty does not extend beyond the date of replacement.

This Warranty Covers the Following Conditions:

  • The warranty is valid only when used on a suitable mattress platform in accordance with and in accordance with Scarnatti's user manual:
-The mattress, after being fully unloaded, exhibits a visible depression of more than 3 cm compared to the surrounding area, and this depression is large and long enough to qualify as a body mark. This depression of more than 3 cm must be confined to the mattress core and must not include any depression of the cover and/or fiberfill materials.
-The mattress is subject to tearing, splitting, or other damage during normal use and handling, in accordance with Scarnatti's mattress care and usage instructions.
-Mattress Covers (2-Year Warranty): Coverage is limited to two (2) years from the original date of purchase. Coverage is limited to material defects, manufacturing defects, or workmanship defects, or any manufacturing defect in the zipper mechanism.
  • Do not remove your mattress cover when sending it in for warranty inspection: The mattress cover is removable and washable. However, when evaluating the condition of your mattress under this limited warranty, the product must be viewed in its entirety without removing the cover.

This Warranty Does Not Cover:

The Scarnatti warranty does not cover anything not specifically stated in the "Warranty Coverage" section above. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Localized firmness variations are normal and are not covered by the limited warranty.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, any changes in comfort preferences, the feel of the mattress, or your perceived level of softness or firmness.
  • Normal body marks or indentations (less than 3 cm).
  • Exposure to direct sunlight and UV light: The mattress should always be used with a cover; otherwise, the warranty will be void (UV light degrades the cushioning materials).
  • Variations in mattress dimensions are normal unless they exceed 3 cm.
  • Damage caused by snagging or pilling of the mattress cover, or damage caused by improper care, improper washing, excessive friction, contact with sharp materials, or zipper failure due to excessive force (removing the mattress cover may void the mattress warranty).
  • Contact of the mattress with human or animal feces or similar fluids. Mattress holders are designed only for making minor adjustments to a bed frame or base and are not covered by this warranty. Using the holders to move or carry the bed may cause damage or tear the holders, cover, or side fabric and is not covered by this warranty.
  • Minor defects and/or cosmetic defects.
  • Mold or fungus that develops after use of the mattress is not covered by the warranty unless Scarnatti is notified of the mattress's moldy condition within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • Mattress damage resulting from abuse or neglect, including, but not limited to: tears, stains, odors, unhygienic conditions, creases, footprints, burns, cuts, or signs of jumping on the mattress, rodent, insect, or other infestations, damage from liquids or gels, blood, body fluids, or other liquids, mold, or damage from weather or sun exposure.
  • Scarnatti strongly recommends that you always use a flexible, breathable mattress protector to protect your mattress and protect your warranty rights.

Subsection 1: Frame/Base Requirements and Compatibility

Foundation Compatibility / Bed-Base Compatibility:

Scarnatti mattresses are compatible with many high-quality/healthy bed base/mattress support systems. These systems include high-quality slat bases/lattenrosts that are not widely spaced; box springs with a homogeneous surface without rigid, non-homogeneous support posts in the middle; and any type of bad base/foundation with a uniform, flat, homogeneous surface.

However, there are slat bases/lattenrosts on the market with excessively wide gaps, which can compromise the comfort and structure of the mattress in the medium to long-term. If you want to enjoy your Scarnatti mattress with the same comfort and quality as the first day for a long time, you should be wary of these. This is a significant issue that also affects your warranty.

This is because, while your Scarnatti mattress may appear like a homogeneous block, it is actually a soft structure composed of millions of tiny cells. The wide gap leaves these cells "suspended" in the air; because the foam has low flexural strength, they slowly bend towards the slat cavity.

Bending → stress distribution is disrupted → material fatigues → permanent indentation (dent sensation) occurs.

Therefore, Scarnatti engineers require a slat spacing of < 4 cm or a full-surface platform; otherwise, the mattress will be forced into a load environment different from the one designed for, and premature deformation is inevitable.

Center Post (Central Support): While a good idea for wide bases for structural strength, when it is not level with the mattress, it "splits" Scarnatti's point-elastic foam architecture into two pieces. The uniform support chain designed for the mattress is broken, resulting in a hard ridge in the middle, a dimpled feeling at the sides, and accelerated material fatigue. Scarnatti strongly recommends using your mattress on a surface that provides uniform firmness and flexibility; this way, you can ensure both comfort and warranty coverage.

Initiating a Warranty Claim:

You can initiate your warranty claim by clicking the relevant link on Scarnatti's website or by contacting them via the web form.
If you purchased your Scarnatti mattress from an authorized retailer, you should first contact that retailer.

Required items when initiating a claim:

  • Proof of purchase (invoice or Scarnatti order number showing the original purchaser and date of purchase).
  • Photos or videos demonstrating the defect or warranty issue.
  • Photos or videos demonstrating the general condition/cleanliness of the mattress.
  • Proof of use of a suitable mattress support system (proof of continuous use of the bed base and frame as specified in the User Manual from the date of purchase is required).

Product Upgrade with Warranty Replacement:

Approved warranty claims may be upgraded to a more luxurious model or larger size. However, the buyer must pay the difference between the currently purchased model and the upgraded mattress model, as well as the shipping costs associated with the replacement/upgrade.

Additional Limitations on Warranty Coverage:

All implied warranties, including those of fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability, are expressly limited to the duration of this written warranty.
Scarnatti shall not be liable for any breach of this warranty or for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of any mattress, encasement, base, frame, or accessory. Replacement or repair as provided herein shall be the exclusive remedy for any breach of this warranty.

This warranty applies to the mattress and not to any accessories or other products associated with the mattress.

The Warranty is Void in the Following Situations:

  • Use of the mattress other than normal household, consumer use.
  • Resale or donation of the mattress by the original purchaser.
  • The Scarnatti® mattress must NOT be used continuously from the date of delivery until the date of the warranty claim.
  • On a structurally sound, flat, uniformly surfaced foundation capable of supporting the weight of the user(s).
  • Or, if used with a spring bed base, on a uniformly constructed box spring bed base that provides uniform support across the entire surface, with no center post or surface hardness variations.
  • Or on an adjustable bed base or adjustable box spring.
  • Using improper bed bases, spring bed bases, adjustable bed bases, or bed frames voids this limited warranty.
  • Storing the mattress in any orientation (long or short term) when not in use.
  • Damaged, abused, or neglected, as determined by Scarnatti in its reasonable discretion.
  • Liens or encumbrances on the mattress.
  • Failure to follow the warranty process.

In the event of a warranty claim, Scarnatti may require proof of the quality of the bed base, adjustable bed base, or bed frame used. Scarnatti makes no representations regarding the structural integrity or rated load required for any frame, bed base or adjustable base not manufactured by or for Scarnatti. Scarnatti reserves the right to void this limited warranty if the bed base is found to be deficient or the mattress is found to be in an unhygienic condition.
